Compound E is a γ-secretase inhibitor. It inhibits β-amyloid(40), β-amyloid(42), and Notch γ-secretase cleavage with IC50 values of 0.24 nM, 0.37 nM, and 0.32 nM respectively. It reduces the proliferation of T47D and MCF-7 cell lines by less than 50% at a concentration of 50 μM.
